Hiatus.

I haven’t updated in far too long. Shame on me. I’ve been going through a lot these past few weeks which have caused me to be away from my camera, but that is going to change. I took this photo a few weeks ago at the Detroit Auto Show. I have a few more to edit but this is definitely one of my favorites. Enjoy, and I look forward to sharing new work soon.

O’Meara.

Finally had a moment of free time to go back and edit some photos of Chris. Here’s one for now-more to come in a few hours or tomorrow. Looking forward to shooting with him at Barneys New York after I spend a few days in Michigan for the holiday. Keep your eye out for some high class images soon and until then, enjoy the holidayyy.

Leather.

Let me start by addressing Chris: The photos I continue to post of you will make any stylish guy wish he had your wardrobe. – I had some time this evening to sit down and edit another photo of Chris from last nights shoot. I’ve been pretty busy getting everything situated for my last week of school, and on top of that I worked all weekend, so it’s been difficult for me to take a seat and edit everything all at once. So same as last night, keep looking for more in the next few days; I have about 5 or 6 more images that I’ll be posting. Enjoy!

Bad Situation = Amazing Situation.

I’ll keep the text short, because the photos are better than anything I could write. Chris and I tried to shoot in the lobby of an upscale building and after being told we could earlier in the afternoon, we were turned down in the evening. We resorted to shooting in Chris’ building and this is what we came up with. I couldn’t be happier. (More to come!)

Can’t sleep.

I can’t sleep so I decided to go at another photo from this morning. Marisa wore her grandmothers necklace; it worked out to be an awesome addition to the shoot. Working with Marisa today opened up a bunch of doors for me as far as locations, models and makeup artists go. I can’t wait to collaborate with her in the future.

Quickie.

I was shooting film today for a class project and decided to take a few digital photos since I had a couple extra minutes. Lupe has an awesome tattoo on his arm that I’d like to photograph again sometime (something brighter where the color is just… BAM) so I snapped a few photos so I could post an update.

I have a lot of shoots in mind for the next few weeks with different models and locations, I just need to get the ball rolling. I’m really excited about some of the places I have found to do fashion shoots as well as some things that are a bit more rugged. I’m searching for a model currently to do a really glamorous shoot in a neat location I found today at my friend Marty’s apartment. So, if you know anyone..! ;)

Stripes.

It’s almost 6am. I HAVE to go to bed. But I enjoyed tonight’s shoot so much that I decided to post a quick preview ! Chris was beyond great and I absolutely cannot wait to shoot with him again in the near future. We already have ideas and outfits picked out. Enjoy! And look for more tomorrow!

UPDATE: Alright… I’ve had a bit of sleep and a little more time to go back and look at these photos. I did a bit more editing, and still have a few more that I want to tweak, but these are most of my favorites, and overall, I think it was a very successful 3am shoot!

Let’s see what else we can do.

I don’t know if it’s weird to say, but I want to photograph everybody I work with. I feel very lucky to have my job because I absolutely adore everyone who works there. I want to capture their personalities and I think I could do some pretty interesting shoots with them. Today I shot with Lance and Chris for a little bit. The photos I’m posting are of Chris. He’s a doll. We were just messing around for a bit, but I can’t wait to set something else up with him. Enjoy!

Going back through some old work.

I’ve been working on transferring all of my photos onto my laptop, and during the process, I’ve been going back and looking at everything I’ve shot over the past year or so. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I really miss having certain people around who are always down for a photoshoot. It was nice to have someone to call whenever an idea popped into my head. Talisha helped me out constantly, and here’s a photo I ran across of her that I really like. Enjoy!

Time to experiment.

After visiting blog after blog and website after website, I’ve decided that I need to start getting better with my post-processing. I’ve been working in photoshop a lot more recently and I’m still trying to wrap my head around lightroom. Here’s a photo I took just over a year ago of John and Kat for a fashion assignment. The original image is very saturated and bright, but the mood of the photograph makes me feel like it should be dark and mysterious. This is what I came up with, and here’s to hours of reading and experimentation in the future!
